Every existing system of governance and all previous systems from the advent of interaction with Europeans that Africa has had has been none other than an “ADOPTION” of foreign matter. That time has come for Africans to do their OWN thinking and designing. It is because many of you have left it to the inherited colonial state apparatus to come up with governance methods for the people. Sadly, if anyone would have carefully read/analyzed their own history and that of the European colonial masters they inherited these systems of governance from it SHOULD have be clear that these systems of governance (irrespective of which “ism” they adopted) are neither for the people or genuinely by the people but rather were designed top down for a minority CONTROL of the “people” and often times systematically repressive/violent and coerce dependency based.

Thus, there is NOTHING African, or genuine for that matter, in these systems as Africans prior to European interaction lived in harmony and peace with each other as the very fact that they got easily (nearly resistant free) colonized buttresses this point as no nation back in those days of bayonet rifles and cannons could swiftly conquer a land mass as humongous as Africa if the people in Africa themselves had long been war-faring mongrels themselves. So any senseless denial argument is baseless as Africa’s colonization was not done with todays’s modern warfare tools but rather it was done virtually as a walk in the park (much of it done even before the maxin machine gun was introduced) with next to no real resistance as the inhabitants themselves were not war-mongering mongrels so resistance was very minimal and conquest pre-assured.

As the YOUNGER GENERATION you need to LEARN from the lessons of those before you and learn your lessons WELL! Those before you were a major part of the problem as many were heavily indoctrinated (education, religion and by a mere “erotic” desire to emulate the “frolic” of their masters before them), heavily mis-educated and ignorant, dubious and compromised (as such even the military had been externally trained to be violent INWARDS and ineffective OUTWARDS as they could not even defend their own countries against the weakest of western nations but could be extremely relied upon to be repressive internally as subtly indoctrinated/brainwashed by their western military trainings and steered thinking to “fear” western external intervention) making it virtually impossible to stand on their own two feet .

You are the younger generation and it is your task to figure out ways for Africa to SELF-DEVELOP without reliance on others. This is not an easy feat but it is a doable feat if you all set your mind to it rather than wasting your time excited about everything thrust down your throats from the western world. as take PRIDE and find DIGNITY in building and maintaining your own development and not simply trying to “purchase” or imitating others. Start right here by thinking critically, in-depth, Outside-the-Box, and objectively about the question asked above:

YOU CAN BUILD A WAKANDA CITY AND JUMP UP AND DOWN FOR JOY BUT UNTIL YOUR LOWEST DENOMINATOR (THE VILLAGE) WHICH IS YOUR WEAKEST LINK IS UPLIFTED AND BROUGHT UP TO MODERN STANDARD YOUR DEVELOPMENT IS MEANINGLESS. UNTIL THE REMOTEST VILLAGE IN AFRICA HAS CLEAN PIPE DRIVEN WATER, DECENT EDUCATIONAL FACILITIES, FUNCTIONAL COMMUNICATIONS INFRASTRUCTURE, DECENT ROAD AND PATHWAY SYSTEMS, CARING HEALTH CARE SYSTEM, CARING GOVERNING SYSTEMS AND RELIABLE FORMS OF ELECTRICITY AND AGRICULTURAL/FARMING SYSTEMS THEN AND ONLY THEN CAN YOU CALL YOUR SOCIETY “DEVELOPED”. SO MY QUESTION TO EVERYONE IS HOW DO WE SET ABOUT ACHIEVING THIS REALITY OF IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF LIFE OF PEOPLE IN THE REMOTEST LOCATIONS AND THEIR ENVIRONMENT?

Some questions may make us feel uncomfortable but the more we avoid them the more we feed the beast! This is NOT an attack on the African woman but rather it is an honest pointer to reality as if we truly want to be PROUD of ourselves then we need to start being OURSELVES and we all know fully well that the wig is part of the dehumanization maintenance factor (irrespective of how we try to “justify” it) and it is something we all need to step back and do our bit to address. For those still in defensive denial let me ask ALL you females on simple question. If you were to see me walking down the street with my hair in James Brown “perm” or me having some horse tail wig on my head as a MAN WHY is it that you would be the very first to sniggle and giggle at me for being fool-hardy? Yet you justify the horse tail on your own head? There so many other ways to “beautify” yourself if you so need it:

Come on, it is time for us to face our own reality and genuinely stand up and be PROUD of WHO WE ARE, WHEN WE ARE, HOW WE ARE, and WHAT we are!

WITHIN 1989/90 I WAS DOING A POST-GRADUATE STUDY IN INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS AT WEBSTER UNIVERSITY IN THEIR LEIDEN BRANCH. NOW IN ONE CLASS THERE WAS A GENTLEMAN BY NAME TULA WHO I WAS INFORMED HAD BEEN A MEMBER OF THE ANC AND HAD RUN TO THE NETHERLANDS FOR POLITICAL ASYLUM. NOW ONE DAY IN CLASS, TO MY BEWILDERMENT, I WAS ASKED BY A “WHITE” SOUTH AFRICAN FEMALE CLASS MATE WHOM TULA SEEMED TO BE VERY CLOSE WITH (AS HE REFUSED TO EVEN SAY HELLO TO MY HELLO BUT WAS ALWAYS EAGER TO BE SEEN WITH THIS FEMALE STUDENT IN THE CLASS) THE FOLLOWING (I QUOTE:) “…Do YOU KNOW WHY TULA HATES YOU? ….” BLOWN AWAY I RESPONDED “EH!…HATES “ME” NO WHY? AND SHE SMILED AND ANSWERED (I QUOTE:) “….BECAUSE HE FEELS “YOU” HAVE NOT SUFFERED….” WOW! I EXCLAIMED AND ASKED (I QUOTE:) “….AND TULA ACTUALLY TOLD “YOU” THIS IS WHY HE HATES ME?…”:WARMLY SMILING SHE NODDED HER HEAD AND SAID (I QUOTE:) “….YES!”. THUS, MY QUESTION TO THE COMMUNITY IS “WHY” WOULD TULA, SOMEONE LIKE MYSELF FROM SOUTH AFRICA, SEE IT BEFITTING TO “HATE” ME A PERSON HE HARDLY KNEW, BEYOND SEEING ME IN A CLASSROOM SETTING, WHEN I WAS NOT THE ONE THAT “TORTURED” HIM (AS LOOKING AT HIS NUMEROUS FACIAL SCARS HE WAS A GENUINE VICTIM OF TORTURE AND NOT SOME ECONOMIC REFUGEE)…IF THERE IS ANYONE OUT THERE THAT COULD HELP ME UNDERSTAND THIS DISTORTED SELF-HATE KNEE-GRO DEPRECIATED MINDSET I WOULD APPRECIATE IT!

This is a TRUE STORY and one that stayed in my mind for decades as I had hoped one day outside of class to meet this fool called TULA and ask him WHY he would see it beneficial to HATE his OWN KIND (worse still to even “discuss” it with some “white” South African girl whose parents had also “left” South Africa at the time of conflict in comfort and where living in a comfortable house in their new found country while he (Tula) was dumped in a dead-beat one room squat as a refugee) while doing his utmost to be “near” and “Liked” by the very same people who tortured him while intensely “Hating ME” simply because those who labelled themselves as “white” tortured him and they did not TORTURE ME in his distorted mind?

Sadly, semester ended and because I never wanted to cause a scene in class (as the last thing that I ever want is to be seen in dispute with my own kind giving “other” the opportunity for morbid joy) I never got the moment in time alone to meet this TULA fella beyond in the class where often he sat his distance as I certainly would have loved to know what makes a man degenerate to this low level of SELF-HATE. anyway, I do hope some one in this community can provide an answer befitting (beyond regurgitated text-book stuff) so I can find some solace to this sheer human stupidity!

MANY OF THE PROBLEMS THAT HUMANS FACE ARE HUMAN CAUSED AND LANGUAGE PLAYS A STRONG ROLE IN BEHAVIOR AND ATTITUDES. KNOWING THIS, WHY IS IT THAT EUROPEAN DESCENDANTS FIND IT HARD TO UNDERSTAND THAT THEY AMPUTATE THEIR OWN MINDS WHEN THEY ENDLESSLY/CONSTANTLY USE LOADED PREEMPTIVE STATEMENTS THAT ALWAYS EQUATE “EVIL” TO BLACK OR DARK. ESPECIALLY WHEN THE ACTUAL EVIL THEY REFER TO IS DONE BY THOSE CLOSEST TO THE LIGHT IN COMPLEXION THAN THOSE DARK IN COMPLEXION?

The Night or DARK that is tranquil and part of creation does no “EVIL” to no one as it is “HUMANS” who put EVIL into it: Historically the overwhelming atrocities and abuse of humanity has been done by European descendant people yet with nearly every statement you hear people of european descent use to “describe” these very evils always equates EVIL with DARK and GOOD with white….this is ludicrous and only goes to unmap the depth of the self-mental amputation of thought within european descendant people which was once pointed out by Brother Malcolm decades ago. (now do not misconstrue me I know there are a few European descendants who understand this reality and make an effort to avoid it so this is not putting everyone in one basket).

It is hard to listen to some one who seems to be saying something meaningful then suddenly spoils it all by such a callous looseness of tongue. Many people mean well but sadly they seem to be dominated by their own inherent senseless indoctrinated biases. Ask yourself what really doe sit take for a person to analyze their own thoughts remembering that they are not the only thing that constitutes humanity and thus should keep things real rather than sensationalizing them.. I personally do not have the answer to this particular question so I hope I can find pointers here.

Due to our centuries long exposure to the dehumanization, subjugation and Controlling efforts of virtually all other races Africa people have been subject to a horde of brainwashing techniques such as education, religion, brutality, fear, terror and direct coercion through debasing political governance and economic strangulation yet somehow we have survived. To this end peeling back the accumulative layers requires a re-evaluation and honest appraisal of our current standing as a people and one of the major stumbling blocks to that has always been our own very inherited (in various ways over the centuries) organized and un-organized forms of education. That time has come for us to deconstruct ALL the constructs that have been systematically imposed on us over the centuries in various ways. Put your brain to work and let us find answers to this particular question as best as we can (remember no regurgitation of text book read stuff…be original in thought).

Everyone likes to show off with mobile phones but the real power and progress is in having the KNOW-HOW and CAPABILITIES as well as SKILLS to MAKE phones. So instead of strutting around “feeling” good about yourself holding a mobile phone why not put your brain to productive use and START thinking about HOW TO MAKE a phone from start (conception) to finish (Production). These are thoughts that require detail so if you think you have the brain to figure this out write down your step-by step detailed approach so that we can all BUILD upon whatever we all describe as the way in order to one day be PROUD and dignified and say we truly MAKE (from concept to finished product) these shiny gadgets we all like to strut around showing off with that are always made by OTHERS!

Nigeria was a name derived form the colonial masters “niggar area” yet as known as this is not one person that came into position of power or authority saw it prudent to change the derogatory “name” yet they were quick to shout “Racism” on economic issues. A younger generation need to know these truths and need to start discussing it with themselves daily so as to better mentally position themselves when their turn comes to occupy positions of power and authority/leadership.

That time has come for Africans to start THINKING-OUTSIDE-THE-BOX and questioning their whole development process for solutions that are practical and meet the needs of the challenges ahead. Designing ROAD SYSTEMS (and any form of system) does not have to be an “ADOPTION/IMITATION” job as with a little bit of creative thinking (and preventing back-handed stabbing/sabotage by ones own) Africans can come up with creative and resourceful ways to produce sturdy road/transport systems. For example the “creator” did not say that “ROADS” must be made from “TARMAC”? That is the systematic legacy of Colonial rule saying that. Africans need to look inward to what is in abundance. For instance SAND is everywhere and in overwhelming abundance. There is nothing wrong with Africans experimenting and coming up with tested designs that can develop road/transportation systems that are mainly dependent on sand as a raw material unlike tarmac that is OIL based (a commodity they systematically have controlled both its development and related tooling.. AFRICANS you are NOT dumb it is just that far too many of you are sitting on your back-sides waiting for Jesus Christ to pop out of heaven and come and do these things for you. Many of you have TIME on your hands all you need to complete the cycle is skills and will power to learn and implement what you may self-learn.

See these things as “challenges” and simply STEP UP to them rather than SHY away from them. Yes, we know that there will be saboteurs who will collude with the west to thwart your efforts but when more of you start THINKING-OUTSIDE-THE-BOX and start actually practicalizing what you test and do then you make it harder for even the colluder’s/minions among your own kind to sabotage things. RISE and RISE to the challenges do not just sit there complaining!! Devise testing methods and learn how to convert raw materials to finished tools as tooling is crucial to the development process so LEARN IT somehow someway!!
